How hot are the coals when I walk on them?
A.
HOT!, very hot, in fact so hot that if you were to drop your mobile phone on the fire, within seconds it would be completely destroyed.
We can not guarantee with any certainty, but we estimate that our fires burn at an average of 1200c.
to put that in perspective:
Aluminium melts at an average of 1100c.
paper combusts at an average of 451c.
Human flesh melts at an average of 300c.
Our fires burn at an average of 1200c, Which is a staggering four times the temerature required to melt human flesh...

What does it feel like?
A.
The closest comparison is - walking on a red hot sandy beach. Depending on the time of the year you may feel a chill on your feet before the walk, sometimes a tingling sensation afterwards.

Is there a age limit?
A.
Yes. The minimum age limit is 18

How long does it take?
A.
Every participant doing the walk is required to undergo a 2 hour motivational training seminar.
the walk itself with the minimum 30 walkers last an average of 15 minutes. Then afterwards there is
a de-brief and certificate presentation.
Q.
How much money will i raise?
A.
A very good Question. It's called a firewalk Challenge for a reason, not only is the walk itself a challenge, but raising the sponsorship is too. We cannot give you an actual figure, but past experiences have taught us that because of the unique nature of the event sposorships are naturally higher than your average sponsored walk.

Can the event be filmed?
A.
Unfortunatley MIB-Unlimited have a very strict policy on Copyright infringement. therefore no audio or visual recording equipment is allowed in the 2 hour seminar prior to the firewalk.
(ALL PHONES MUST BE SWITCHED OFF)
However, we welcome friends and relatives to video and take pictures of the walk itself.

What happens if I dont want to do the walk after the seminar?
A.
Again experience has taught us this very rarely happens. After the training it is usually the opposite.
Walkers usually want to do it again!

What happens if I fall?
A.
In over 20 years of successfully running events, we have never had a participant fall. However the counter measures put in place to prevent this consist of:
3 Fire Marshals attending the fire at all times.
2 of which usher every walk each side of the lane to prevent from any trips or stumbles...

Is the event insured?
A.
Yes. All events are insured. The relevant certificates can be viewed when the event is booked. When the event is booked a full site survey and risk assessment is carried out.

Do you just do them in Nottingham?
A.
No we do events Nationwide. Also Northern Ireland, Eire and Europe...
